Annabelle Defrance, your guide
Annabelle comes from a Burgundian family of vinegrowers and winemakers who gave her the passion for wine. She decided to study a degree in Oenology in Dijon, capital of Burgundy. After that she becomes a flying winemaker, keen to discover the wine of the world. She followed harvests in the Northern and Southern hemispheres, discovering new ways of working with different grape varieties and employing new and different techniques.
She then settles in Provence, in southern France, for 8 years, working for a small family owned vineyard as winemaker but also as export salesperson. The estate, Domaine de Sulauze, is cultivated according to biodynamic principles.

In 2023 she decides to come back to her beloved Burgundy to follow another one of her passions... desserts ! She enters a patisserie school in Auxerre and gains a diploma. But she is not yet ready to abandon the wine world, keen to share her acquired knowledge of the wines and love of the region. That's when she meets Brendan, who created Wine Liaisons in 2001 and was looking for someone with passion and enthusiasme to continue and develop this successful venture. She looks forward to welcoming both old and new clients of Wineliaisons to come and join her in discovering some of her favourite wines and wineproducers of Burgundy maintaining the same fun and informative style of Wineliaisons.
